The Free Mite Clinic is a four session serries open to all 8U players that would like an introduction to or continuation of the Frederick Freeze brand of Mite hockey. This is a great way to learn more about travel hockey in a fun and structured station-based environment developed by Associate Hockey Director, Adam Levine, and his staff of coaches. Skippers Hockey Development will be hosting a pre-tryout clinic series to get players ready and competing at their best for the upcoming tryout season. This is a high-intensity clinic series with a station-based focus on skating mechanics and skill improvement, led by Frederick Freeze Hockey Director, Pat St Clair, and his coaching staff of former Tier I, Juniors, and College level hockey players. The Laura Stamm International Power Skating System is designed to improve the speed and mobility of hockey players of all ages and abilities. The Frederick Freeze has partnered with the Laura Stamm team to host this four-day Summer Camp coming to Skate Frederick specifically for Freeze hockey players.

Since 1970 Laura Stamm and her team of Certified Instructors have trained hockey players throughout the world. Her power skating techniques are proven by the pros, and have improved the speed, efficiency, and overall skating technique of thousands of pro, amateur and recreational hockey players, including work with the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, the German and Swedish National Teams, the Finnish Ice Hockey Federation, and many more.

Skippers Hockey Development will be hosting a four-week eight-session training camp style clinic series throughout Summer 2025, focused on refining skating mechanics, enhancing skill development, and competing in realistic gameplay situations through small area games and full ice scrimmages. These clinics will be organized and run by Freeze Hockey Director, Pat St Clair, along with instructors from Tier 1, Junior, and College playing alumni.

Players should expect day 1 (Monday) of each week to focus on skating and skills development through a rotational station-based format that keeps players moving and grouped by similar age and skill level to adapt the instruction and complexity to differing levels of play. Day 2 (Tuesday) will be a combination of small area games to enhance creativity while working on in-game concepts that can transition to full ice gameplay.

The Frederick Freeze are proud to offer our membership for the 2025-2026 hockey season access to FREE power skating clinics taking place on Friday nights running August - October. These clinics will be organized and run by the Freeze Hockey Operations team with support from external power skating specialists.

Players are required to register for each individual session they can participate in to help ensure attendance is not over or undercrowded. Sessions will be capped at 30 players per age group (12U & Younger, 14U & Older). REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ONCE 2025-2026 TRYOUTS CONCLUDE.
