FREEZE HOCKEY: DEVELOPING PEOPLE ONE PLAYER AT A TIME

2012-04-04

With teams in the Empire League and the ESHL, the Frederick Freeze offers high level hockey. In a short time, the Freeze has placed a player in Division 1 hockey and numerous others in colleges throughout the U.S. In addition, many former players are playing in Junior A leagues across the U.S.

The Empire league is the 4TH best league at advancing players to college hockey, trailing only the USHL,NAHL and the EJHL.Junior hockey is pro style hockey, 60 minutes, full intermissions and all of the top shelf players strive to play in junior programs. Youth hockey is usually 15-17 minutes per period. The Freeze plays a minimum of 40 games. That is an extra period per game versus youth hockey.
Junior team fees cover all travel, team meals, hotels, uniforms and 3 nights of practice. Freeze players gain exposure to highly scouted tournaments such as the EJ Winter Claasic, the Jr Bruins tournament and other national tournaments. Ask any player who has come from youth hockey to junior hockey and they will tell you how fast paced and intense junior hockey is compared to youth programs with better chances of advancement.
Freeze GM/Coach Derek Comeau has scouted for USHL teams for years and has numerous contacts throughout the US and Canada. Numerous Freeze players have been to USHL,NAHL,and EJHL camps thanks to coach Comeau. Freeze hockey is serious hockey for players looking to advance to the highest levels in our sport. Developing people, one player at a time, that's Freeze hockey.
